We take pride in our membership and
require that all members meet certain
standards:
Basic Member Qualifications:
- Individual must be licensed by
the CSLB for at least 1 year
- Individual must have minimum of
5 years trade experience
- Individual/Company must posses a
valid business license in local
county or city
- Individual must posses a valid
California Driver's License
- Individual/Company must be in
good standing with the BBB* & the CSLB
(* being a
member of the BBB is not necessary, but
you must have a good BBB standing.)
Senior
Member Qualifications:
- Individual must have met all
qualifications of Basic Member
- Individual must have been licensed
by the CSLB a minimum of 3 years
- Individual must have minimum of 5
years in business related to
construction trade
- Individual must have minimum of 10
years trade experience
- We
recommend that all Senior Members be
members of the BBB
Auxiliary Member Qualifications: an
Auxiliary Member is a member directly
related to the construction industry and
an expert in their field, but not
necessarily a contractor, i.e. a country
building employee representing a
department, member of the CSLB, etc.
Auxiliary Members are UCA
members whose membership is directly
for the benefit of the contractors
within the UCA, and have member
status equal to probationary member
status unless otherwise specified.
- Expert
in their respective field, directly
relating to the Construction
Industry.
- Must
be in said field for a minimum of 5
years.
Probationary Member
Qualifications:
A. Licensed contractors whom are
cleaning up their record either with CLSB or BBB:
- Must possess a valid California
Drivers license
- Must have a valid business
license in local county or city
- Must show evidence of cleaning
up record (i.e. taking care of
un-completed jobs, restoring
customer faith, etc.)
B. Licensed contractors licensed for
less than one year:
- Must possess a valid, California
Driver's license
- Must have a valid business
license in local county or city
- Must to maintain good customer
report.
Probationary Status List: (Not a
member; allows unlicensed contractors to
get on a waiting list while they are
getting licensed in order to accrue the
1 year period required for membership.
Unlicensed individual whom is in
the process of getting licensed:
- Must have valid California
Driver's License
- Must have a valid business
license in local county or city
- Must be attending a trade
school, college course or licensing
course
- Must show evidence of
application for State Contractors
license
- Must show activity on license
application status (i.e. test dates,
cert. acceptance, etc.)
- Must agree to stay under $500.00
per job, including both labor and
materials
